I started cleaning parts up and installing them today. The sun visors really make the interior look better and as a bonus, the vanity lights even work. They didn't on the originals. After cleaning up the back-up light assembly, I'm not sure I'm going to use it. The thing may be intact, but it'* considerably more scarred up than the one that'* on my car now. But hey, it'* good to have choices, right?

The one presently on the car has a two-inch chunk of plastic missing along the upper edge of the passenger side backup light but could otherwise pass for new. The one I got the other day is intact but scratched up. It doesn't seem like it'* worth the effort to swap them out at this point. If the car I got it off of had been a little cleaner where I could assess the condition of the part while it was still in situ, I might have left it alone. As it was, I couldn't really see what was what until I'd been over it with some Simple Green. The whole car looked like it had been abandoned in the woods with the windows down for a few years. There was actually moss growing in the crevices around the "Oldsmobile" word mark on the backup light assembly.
