i have a 95 olds achieva with a 2.3 quad four automatic transmission

when i am driving and put the car in gears 1,2,or 3 it is all normal but when it enters overdrive it seems to make a whining niose
it only happens when driving not when revving the engine

any ideas??

How is the fluid level in the transmission?

the level is good and the color is still red. doesnt seem to be a burnt color

How many miles are on it? And when was the trans fluid/filter replaced?

it has 101xxx and i just boutgh it

i have no idea but when i hit that 4th gear at about 35mph there is a noise i was thinking it is a cat converter but there are no symptoms of it, so now im thinking a wheel bearing, but i am just kinda troubleshooting similar sounds
