Default need help 1995 ceira sl motor swap

i have a 1995 ceira with a L82 motor that was over heated and is now knocking i have a Lg8 motor that i have started to install but its not wanting to run after i push on the gas what could be causing teh problem?

its a different engine. what did you get it from? what of the new engine did you swap over? you know if the fuel specs are the same? you know your fuel pump is good?

i got it out of a 2000 Buick century custom the fuel pump is good and the gas lines/filter are not clogged i took the whole motor over except for the alternator and exhaust i had to move over the trautle cable over from teh buick so that they matched up

im not sure on the fuel specs ill have to look into that

you used the pcm and wiring and sensors from your 95? they could be different, i dont know

So the car will sit and idle but if you press the throttle it just stumbles? dies? trys to die? Justin may be onto something cause if you used a newer engine harness th pins may not all line up with the "cars" harness in the proper order..have you tested the fuel pressure on the car and verified it to match your engine..also may want to look into ingintion system..but it all depends on what the car actually does

it idles and when i hit the gas it dies and i used the wiring harness that went with the car just switched over 2 sensers that didnt match up i dont have the tools ot test the fuel pressure and i havnt found the specs on the motors to see if they match
