Default Intrigue performance?

I recently got a 2001 Intrigue GL with the 3.5 DOHC, and I've been looking for some aftermarket parts for it. So far, I've come up with nothing. The car only has 40k on it, so I'm not afraid to do some engine mods/transmission mods, so any suggestions would be great.

Any experience with shift kits on the 4t65e tranny?
Cold air intakes with my engine?
Aftermarket exhaust?

Thanks guys

Adding a shift kit to that transmission is easy. I have a shift accumulator all ready to go if your interested, just PM me. A basic cold air intake is also easy. I have no idea about exhaust.

Here'* my engine bay; As you can see, it'* kinda cramped..:P
I almost cried when i saw that my air intakes sucks air from directly behind my headlight..like literally, the tip of the intake is maybe a 1/2 inch away from the back of the headlight. Can you say restricted?

They didn't make anything aftermarket for those cars at all. The only luck you would have had would have been getting an older one with a 3800 in it.

I know man...My heart sank when I realized that any work I do to this thing is going to have to be 100% custom.

I miss you Green Machine..:'(

My first "new" car was a 2000 Intrigue, it sucked not having any aftermarket available. It was a great car though.

Did you ever do anything perfomance-wise with it?

Oh, and did you ever have tranny trouble (especially between 30-40 mph?)

I think if you totally remove the air box that should open up the corner for a better air intake. Check for any opening that you can run a intake hose threw.

No I didn't do anything to it, and no I never had tranny problems. I did however have a CV joint fail on me.
