How do you repair door check links along with getting them to free up

The front check links on my front doors are making a loud popping noise and I have been looking for a new set but I have had no luck on that so I am wanting to know how I can repair the front set on the front doors and get the rear one to free up a little bit because it is so hard to open and close the rear doors on my Oldsmobile. So since I really don't know what they may interchange with maybe someone can help me out with that or give me some ideas on how I can repair mine along with getting the rear ones to move a lot better. Thanks.

if you are talking about the little rods in the door, i usually use some wd40 or white lithium and spray all the points that have contact. the lithium stays longer but sometimes collects dirt, and thats what the factory uses, sometimes you have to get it free with the wd first then spray it with the lithium

I will snap a few pics to help everyone out. Also I tried WD-40 and it didn't really help out that much but I didn't try the white lithium grease.

if wd doesnt work the lithium wont. the wd40 has more cleaning additives. maybe the lock actuator has to be removed and cleaned. some thing is causing it to bind, take stuff apart until you find it

I will do that When the weather get a little warmer. I sprayed them today with some lithium grease and it seamed to help a little bit. Also I have a few pics on what I am exactly talking about to see also if you may be able to help me fix the front check links. Also the pic of the real rusty looking one is the driver side one and that one it the worst one that is making the popping noise.

ive never had issues with that. but i would guess there is some mechanism or spring in the door that needs attention
