How can I tell if I have a FWD or RWD 3800 Series II

Oh yeah duh, didn't think of that. Turning it 90 degrees puts the pulleys in front and the inlet in back.

I guess that'* why they pay those engineers the big bucks.

. . . and yeah would love a clutched supercharger on a 3800, that'd be cool, and practical. Too bad there'* not a great way to have a clutched pulley like that and gradually bring it up to speed, like if it had a big ol' clock spring in it.

Adjustable belt tensioner with a speed sensor watching the pulley.

Manually operated though.

A big lever would suit The Road Warrior better anyways.

I prefer hydro-static drive over belt drive like that.
