Default EGR stovepipe buggered up

I'm a dunce sometimes. I completely buggered the stovepipe going to the TB when trying to remove it. It now has a 3/8" hole in the pipe. Is it possible to try to close the hole then weld it up and be ok as far as flowability?

Thanks.

I would simply replace it.

What car is this for? Another H body? 3800? NA? SC? Series?
