need help 92 88 (fixed)
I have a 92 oldmobile 88 royale that I recently bought for 300 dollars to use as a daily driver. The car looks good and runs but there is one problem. The engine has a slight miss/hesitaion when you give the car a specific amount of throttle. If you start out slow and take it easly like grandmaw you dont notice it but like when trying to cross an intersection you'll step on it enough to notice the hesitation. I was hoping someone would have some idea on how to fix it. The car has the 3.8 with 251000 miles.

My '88 has always had what I'd call a hesitation, a bit like carb'd cars used to have. It seemed to reduce a bit after the fuel filter was replaced (was the original, rusted in so I waited till I had to replace the whole fuel line to do it).

Worse when wet indicates a bad coil or plug wire. Take a spray bottle and mist the plug wires and coils when the engine is running. then turn off all the lights so it'* dark. Watch for blue flashes. If you see any that'* a ground. What ever is flashing needs to be replaced.
