I learned that the hard way. On the2000+ the rears are shock absorbers rather than struts. A kind member on the forum here explained it to me just last week. I felt kind of dumb about not knowing the diff. They gave a link, Monroe I think, that listed the struts and shocks.

I'm never too old to learn. I thought they looked
the same as my 98'* front/rears. But they ain't!!!

I'm a Monroe Sensatrac fan also...better than OEM ride IMO.

Though I have heard good things about the KYBs.

Yup the struts are the same for the 91-99 models... 90 had some changes, I'm not sure if it was started at begining of production for 90 or later... Hard to say... But 91-99 do use the same struts..

The 2000 Bonnie in the rear went to the Shock Absorber as opposed to the Struts on the 87-99 Bonnevilles...
