Default DRL how to disable?

Does anyone know how to disable daytime running lights on a 97 olds?

I'd rather use switch to turn lights on and off instead of auto

DRL might be as simple as pulling a relay. To disable the auto lights, you essentially have to trick the light sensor into thinking its always light out. Some cars, it'* just a straight jumper across the wires, and others require a resistor that mocks the resistance of the sensor in daylight.

The DRL'* read here...https://www.gmforum.com/everything-e...lights-292545/

And for the auto headlights, and I forget the value, but you need to pull the photo sensor from the top left of the dash, measure the resistance in full sunlight and use a resistor in equal value. Normally found at RadioShack.
