As an ex-owner of a 87 LeSabre LTD, I must admit the 87 T-Type is far better! The closest match to it was the Grand National though for looks.

T-type was a sport trim and suspension option for nearly all Buick models in the 80'*. There was t-type RWD Regals, Rivieras, Lesabres, Electras, Skyhawk'* , Skylarks ? Im not sure, Somerset and I may have forgot a few.
In the RWD Regal there was a Turbo charged Regal called T-type. Im not a G body man so I dont know the details but I have read them.
The Above mentioned LeSabre T-type was the 2dr FWD H body LeSabre with a air dam, rear spoiler, special wheels shared with Reatta, black trim, its own tailights , colors - garnet red, white, black or silver. Mechanically - lower final drive, F41 heaviest susp, less assist on power steering. Interior - grey, black, or black leather, buckets, gauges, floor shift, steering wheel.
No doubt the LeSabre T-type was the ultimate first gen H body where the SSE or SSEI would have been the equalivent and best dressed 4 dr. Buick and Olds had equal performance packages to the SSE & I with the Electra T-type 2 & 4 dr and Oldsmobile touring coupe but they did not have any GFX appearence package. Different marketing targets.
The first fullsize FWD GM performance car would have been the 1985 Buick Electra T-type availabe in both 2 & 4 dr models. Buckets but no floor shift, suspension package, tailights just the little things ya know.

Yep ! I did ! I even have a set of Century t-type wheels. There 14'* though but really nice lookin multi finned. I like nearly all factory GM wheels from the eighties. Todays GM factorys wheels do little for me. A few are alright. Its been awhile since I had them out but I beleive they are a 7" wheel. I wanted to get a set of wide but 50 series tires for a lower final drive ratio - so to speak. For track purposes only. Thing is 14 inch tires dont have many size options anymore. All emphisis is on 16,17 & 18'* these days.
