I put Monroe Sensatracs on all 4 corners of my 98 LeSabre. They were (lots) tighter than the original struts and have lastest 70K still going strong.

I vote for KYB Shocks/Struts. I installed them on all four corners of my former Buick LeSabre and now current Olds 88 and it improved the ride/handling quite a bit. Mind you, it still doesn't give you that rock solid ride/handling of a Porche, but it'* much easier on the Kidneys. Also, they seem to keep their strength/reliablility even after I installed them over 100,000 miles ago.

Now you tell me.... (had them installed 2 years ago on my 91)

I'm installing KYBs on my front... I've heard nothing but good things about them.

I'm on my second set of KYB GR-2'* on my Olds and I couldn't be happier with them.

KYB'* are guaranteed(warranty) for the life of your car IF you still have/had the original receipt. I was just curious if you went that route when you replaced your struts on your Olds?

That'* good to know. The first set had about 50k-55k miles on them and I decided to change them since I needed to replace the front springs because one cracked. So, the car got treated to 4 new KYB'*, new front springs, and new front strut mounts.

There were no leaks from the old struts, but they did have a bit less resistance when pushed in than the new ones.

I hope that I can still find the receipt from the current set just in case.

I noticed that they don't list a set of rear struts for my year. :(
