We'll need to know more about the car. From your profile it appears that this is a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Coupe with a 5.7 .

Is this correct?

We'll also need to know if it has an automatic or manual transmission.

We need to know which GM 5.7 engine it has. It is likely an Oldsmobile 350, but it could be a Buick 350, Chevrolet 350, or a Pontiac 350. They are all different.

What does the vacuum line do or not do? . . . or do you have a vacuum line that doesn't go anywhere?

If you can post a picture of your emissions decal, that would help.

I take it the label under the hood is not there. They have on the rad support the label showing the lines.
