Cooling fans

I have a '95 Cutlass Supreme convertible 3.4 DOHC with 53000 miles. When I start the car from cold, the radiator fan turn on, and stays on for 60 seconds or so, then goes off. Otherwise it cools as normal. Is this typical of this car?

Is this with the climate control turned off completely?

Have you had it scanned for codes? 95's are not easy cars to scan....

I don't have an OBD1 scanner. May have to get one. I have a 16 pin connector, with only three pins in it.

You can try the paperclip test: https://www.gmforum.com/obd-i-troubl...p-test-306836/

Soft Ride, he says it's a 16 pin, not 12, so it's one of those '95 transition years....
