Sway bar bushing replacement on my Achieva
Well I was hoping this job was going to be easy but it is a lot harder then what I thought it would be. Well since I have it all apart now I need to finish what I started but I need to know some info on how to properly lift the entire front end without using jack stands on the frame rails. I was trying to cut a few corners on the hope I wouldn't half to deal with the frame rails but I found out I half to. I need to know if I can support the front end by using a jack with a 2x4 under the oil pan so I can drop the frame rails to replace the bushings or is that to dangerous to do. I really need to get these bushing replace by tomorrow because I need to go to work. Also I am replacing them because one of the bushings is allowing the sway bar to bounce around and the other bushing is got a chunk of it missing.

your engine is attached to them so that wouldnt work. just jack it up on the frame rear of the cradle. just watch for brake and fuel lines

you should have frame extend out from where the engine cradle attaches to. if thats rotted to bad to pick up the car, i wouldnt be keeping the car. like where the 4 point lift would lift your car up

Yes the rocker panels are shoot by the back half of the front fenders. I figured out another way and that was to remove the plastic piece below that let a person know that they are getting to close to a curb. When I got that piece remove I use a jack stand a 2x4 to lift the entire front end and then proceeded to lower the front frame rails and know I am in the reassembly phase right know.

Well I have it all back together but I think one of the frame rails didn't line up right so I am gonna half to check that because the driver side front tire it turned a little bit and the steering wheel is straight.
