A/C charging problem

Update.
I think I fixed it! I took apart the entire system to make sure I didn't have a blockage. put pressurized air through each line, the condenser and the evaporator and all were clear. Orifice tube was fine. So I actually took the compressor off the car and put in on my shop bench and turned the clutch while putting my thumb over the suction and then discharge holes in the back. the suction sucked like crazy and the discharge pushed my thumb off. so put it back in. must be good. Evacuated for 70 min and it went down to minus 25 quickly and stayed there. let it sit over night and the vacuum was still there.
tried to charge it with my manifold gauge set and the same thing happened. Hi side would go up past 50 and low side stayed at 70, and if I closed the valve to the can the low side dropped all the way down to about 10.
so I got mad and unhooked the low side, left the hi side hooked up, and hooked up a can directly to the low side port with a hose. had the car in diagnostic mode so the compressor would run and as I ran the car I would turn the can sideways about every 15 seconds and run liquid in it. surprisingly, each time the compressor kicked on the hi side went up a little and I could feel the can getting lighter, didn't take to long before it was at 225 which is about normal I think. Checked the vents and the air was ice cold!
Put about 25 miles on it today and it'* still ice cold!!!
