Ball Joint Question

Well I had something come up and had to go out of town so I decided to buy the ball joints from a local auto parts store along with two new hub assemblies. The ball joints are from Moog and the hubs are the Precision brand, both came from my local O'Reillys. Also the new ball joints made it ride a lot better. I had to go to Oklahoma over the weekend and will be going back to Oklahoma again in a few days. I will be putting right around 1 thousand miles on my car in less then a week. It goes to the shop tomorrow for an oil change and a tire rotation then I will be leaving for Oklahoma on Wednesday. Thanks for all of the great advice everyone offered me. Also those darn rivets were a pain the the back side to get out. It took me 5 hours to drill the rivets out and put the new ball joints in along with putting the new hubs in to.

Drill the rivets out? You use your air hammer with a chisel to shear the tops off and the pop the rest out.....easy peasey lemon squeasey.....I drilled them out once...just once.....

Not sure if the Joshua had an air hammer, I am thinking he'd have tried to use it if he did, I wish I had one myself, but I have yet to get me a compressor, and air tool set, one of these days I will, just need to come up with the money, I have some stuff saved on my Amazon Wish list for whenever I have the cash to spend.

I have air tools but the compressor is in pieces. We are in the process of rebuilding the motor in it. It needed new rings along with a new piston. We got the parts a few days ago and I picked on the motor portion from the machine shop a few days ago after the smoothed out the piston wall. The compressor it a dinosaur but it keep going so why replace it when it only cost us 50 dollars for all of the parts along with another 20 dollars to the machine shop. So for 70 bucks you can't find a good compressor for that price.

the older ones were likely built better anyway, we have an older one at work. its half as loud as the newer ones and it just keeps chuggin away
