Default Bad Wires?

Could you guys please tell me the symptoms of bad NEW wires. Ever since I put on new wires my mileage has gotten real bad. Its dropped from 19 to 14. With rockers my mileage should be up not down. I did replace the # 6 plug just in case the other was foiled from the bad wire. They are both NGK TR55'* but look different at the base where the wire connects. One plug being slightly different from the rest wouldn't make a difference in mileage, would it? Especially when its still a NGK TR55. Anyways, the new wires where emergency cause I was on the trip. The store only had an offbrand called OMNISPARK and just am wondering if these are really shitty wires or what? I would have got Delco but in emergency situations ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

It will act like the transmission is going bad - breaking up and stuttering - especially under load at low rpms like up hills and upon TC lock-up.

I just replaced the one on the DP about a year ago, maybe the O2 after the cat is bad? The car runs great now with the new wires. I was wondering because they are an off brand.

did you use ac delco o2 for before the cat? if you used bosch theres a good chance that its bad. Also you could just have a bad set of wires you can check the wires by either turning on the car at night with the hood up when its pitch black outside and watch for sparks coming off the wires (arching). let me know what happens

As far as I know, the after cat O2 sensor is to monitor cat efficiency and doesn't play a role in the computers tuning of the engine. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Honestly though, I'd check the coils.
