Engine bay Help
I have recently picked up a 1981 Olds delta 88. the body is in mint condition but the engine bay needs a bit of love. My parents have owned 2 of these when i was a kid. When it needed to get looked at i was always with my Dad looking under the hood but i don't remember what this black spherical is part of. it is sitting loose under the hood and i cannot find a mounting point.
Can anyone let me know what it is and if it is important.
Thanks

I forget what that thing is..Not the horn..something to do with barometric pressure?
Does the 81 Olds still have the emission label..it may be listed there.
If I remember right it mounted with plastic feet at the bottom, pretty much where it is in photo, on top of fender there on passenger side.

Nope, its a vacuum reservoir. They are usually mounted to the hood or firewall/fenderwell area. It prevents stalling of the engine when you change from floor to vents to defrost on your HVAC controller.
