1992 Olds 88 trans temp sensor
How hard is it to change the trans temp sensor on a 1992 Olds 88? I have chased this QDM1 failure into the trans because the codes I now have on the car after repairs indicate a Code 26 AND A Code 59 low trans temp. Given the fact that the TCC solenoid is also on the QDM1 circuit for 1992, I am inclined to believe this is in the transmission. Thoughts anyone? I think the side pan comes off to get at these. Has anyone experienced issues with the TCC solenoid screen plugging up and causing this issue of a QDM1 module failure?
Am I better off to take the car to a trans shop and bank on the fact that they will want to charge me thousands for a rebuilt trans when it only needs a solenoid?
Need advise more than anything. Car no longer is stalling and seems to run okay for now....

The sensor is located in the side pan. I have heard of a couple members here dropping the trans out just enough to remove the cover.
