Try disconnecting both battery cables, and leave them disconnected for 3-5 minutes.
Hopefully things have had a chance to dry & that will clear the soft code.
Let us know if that works!

unhooked battery... light still on when starting back up
ABS does not work

Sorry to hear that.
You are going to have find a shop or someone with a scanner capable of reading chassis codes.
If you post the stored code or codes, we should be able to help you along then.

where would i find a free place that would be able to read the chassis codes?

Your Local Autozone may have a scanner that's capable.

My Autozone uses the Actron Autoscanner PLus(CP9580)....it reads ABS codes....you can rent it out....basically the charge you for a new one....when returned, they credit your account....so it's free....

today I had the system scanned for codes, but could not communicate or no communication with abs module, checked the fuse inside car, nothing blown, also checked the max fuses under the hood, everything is fine.... any ideas?

Did a shop scan for codes? Possibly the scanner was not capable?
Do you know which brand/model scanner was being used?
Maybe try another shop...IDK...
TechII in post #7 did mention the Autozone rental of the CP9580 would be worth a try for sure.

yes, a shop scanned for codes, and yes the scanner was 8000 bucks they said, it will read abs
