95 Eighty Eight No start Condition

I'm having an issue with my car (obviously).

Yesterday, when I went to start it, I turned the key, and very little happened.

First off, the 'door ajar' ding is abrupt, and very fast. The radio and whatnot flashes. And there is a clicking coming from behind the dash.

Turning the key, there's no turn over, no struggling to start, or anything.

The headlights appear to work fine.

If you need anything other information, let me know. If this wasn't a good enough description, I may be able to upload a video later.

sounds like the battery is dead or the terminals are corroded or loose

I tried boosting the car, and had the same issue. Could that still be a dead battery issue? I also tried charging it overnight with no results.

dead battery wont take a charge and it will also steal the voltage from a good battery if you try to jump it. you should try a different battery by itself after cleaning the terminals

Sure sounds like a dead battery to me. Take the battery into Autozone, or some other auto supply store that will test batteries. They don't charge for this service.

I went and bought a battery. Works like a charm! Thanks guys, you saved me a bunch of money.
