93 regency no temp no radio!

I started my regency and the heater control monitor displayed --- and my radio displayed 1:00. The blower motor luckily blows hot air, but can not be adjusted or turned off. Radio does not work, but cig lighter has power. Any ideas?

Check your fuses.

I have a lot of similar behaviors when the ELC maxifuse is pulled on my 93 PA.

I will check this weekend I had the maxi cover off but I didn't see a bad fuse. I will check with a multimeter to be sure.

Could be two separate problems....

Sounds like you have a bad blower control module......

As for the radio, you will have to check for power(should be more than one circuit), and ground.....

Odd both would go at the same time. Power surge from alternator vs 22 year old electronics?

If both went at the same time, then you would have to check for fuses and grounds, common to both circuits.....

But with auto temp control, those blower control modules are known for going bad, and keeping the blower running....hopefully you are disconnecting the blower motor so the battery doesn't go dead...

The blower motor shuts off with the key. What really concerns me now that as of noon everything is back and working like nothing happened. So it looks like I will be checking for broken/corroded wires or contacts. I will be posting back with results in the future.
Thanks

I was looking under the hood and around the floor board and now I only have high beams. No: Radio, heat, low beams, or the upper front marker lights. Common ground, or body control module?

Ok, so i pulled the connection to the blower control module under the hood and everything returned all lights and functions. So it looks like it's the module. I am still puzzled why it would feed back and affect so many parts on separate grounds. The only common link is the power wire.
