i hear you bro. had the same problem. had it taken care of. i had 4 b codes....b1009, b2734, b2947, and b3031. the culprit..... bad theft deterrent module. took it to the dealer. had it replaced. you have to go to the dealer for something like this. once they install the new theft deterrent module, they have to go online to GM, to reprogram your car. so it will run correctly. i know. i've been through it. a bad deterrent module can reap havoc in your bcm, the fuel system, and possibly your pcm, depending on the codes. i had mine put in and runs like a raped ape. i hope that this info can help you. i have a 2000 pontiac bonneville ssei. but you have to go to the dealer. they have access to GM online. just putting in a new module without reprogramming you car won't help. i've been through this. only the dealer has these programs. not the average mechanic. my car runs great. good luck bro.
