Default Q'* for the Ford Boys

I'm looking for option codes for an 05 Taurus. Specifically ABS and traction control and the location of the sticker in the vehicle. My brother recently bought one with these options but he doesn't think the car actually has them.

Thanks

Test it out. Go on a empty road and go up to 60 then SLAM on the brakes. If he feels the brakes pulsating, he got them if it locks up, no ABS. Or you must be safe, do it on the lawn, if it doesn't pulsate well, no ABS

You would think that every car made after 1990 should have ABS. Heck, it just might be a government requirement by now.

Can I do this brake test on your lawn, fuel?

As far as I know, no. I told him that I would expect the lights to go on during the bulb test but hey... it'* a Ford. There'* locations on the cluster for both ABS and TC similar to the rear steer in the Bonnevilles but no lights. Keep in mind that I haven't looked at it yet so anything is possible. I just thought RPO codes would allow him to quickly determine the existence of the features.

My f*cking 01 Impala Base Sedan has no ABS or traction control! My sisters 04 Impala Sedan Base has ABS no traction control, yet ABS remained an option on all base Impalas for 5 years... Now for 06 I am not sure if they are standard. All my cars have four wheel discs but the Bonneville is my first car (I bought) that has both T/C and ABS! And I am almost 50! lol

For 2005 Ford only offered the Taurus in SE and SEL trim levels. ABS was optional on the SE level, and standard on the SEL model. What trim are you looing at?
