Default Camaro vs Mustang

One of my friends just got a mustang, and his parents own a camaro. I think the camaro would walk circles around the mustang he thinks the mustang would whoop the camaro. What do you guys think?

1990 Mustang Convertible Notchback 5.0L V8 Automatic
1998 Camaro Convertible 350 V8 Automatic

which one will outperform the other?

does the 98 have the LS1?

I can walk an LT1 in my car..and a 5.0...but an LS1 puts up a good fight.

I don't know if it would be hands down. Depends on the condition of both engines. The Mustang had 225HP and 300 lb/ft of torque, while the Camaro had 305HP and 335 lb/ft of torque. But then take into consideration that the Camaro is 400 lbs heavier than the Mustang, it might not be a cake walk.

Ok, and the camaro would win again if they BOTH did a 150 shot, and if neither of them did, but I put one on my 91 Honda Civic, I'd walk them BOTH.

One time in high school, there was this guy......

Yup. LS1 started in 1998 and was the only V8 option. 5.7 litre.
