Default Team logo air hockey table?

I just got an air hockey table about a month ago or so. What I want to do is get the "Minnesota WILD" logos on the table instead of the "Wilson" logos that came with it. Has anybody ever tried this before? Or know of a place that will refinish surfaces with custom graphics? I just thought it would look really sweet, being that I am a WILD fan and all....

The only downside of placing anything on the surface of the table, is, that it will negatively impact the smooth surface. Is the top of your table coated? Some of them have like a plastic laminate surface. If there is any imperfections on the top like a sticker or something it will have an effect on the game play.

If I were you, I'd leave the surface alone and maybe decorate the exterior in Wild green, red and gold. Or, have the Wild logo on the plastic puck. Does your table have the overhead scoreboard? Some nicer tables are lit up from the top, I'd have green lights in there hee hee.

But I'd stay away from adding anything to the surface of the table. In CAN, we have a games store called Dufferin games. They supply pool talbes, air hocky, jitz...you name it. See if there is a similar kinda games store and ask about refinishing the table and see whats involved. Personally I have never seen this done before. It'd be neat tho.

Maybe the team will give you your own space at Xcel Center for Wild Table Hockey tournaments

Well, what I was thinking was to see if I can buy a replacement table top for it, strip it down, add the logos, and then relaminate it. The table I have seems to be made out of material alot like the peg board you use in garages. It has the Wilson logo on it and it is laminated (or finished with some sort of plastic coating). What I would do is pull out the top that is in it now (just in case) and refinish another one to replace it. That way if I F-up I can just put the old one back and keep playing on it. I know if I put stickers on the surface there will be playability issues so I know I would need to recoat everything back to smooth in the end.

Mine has the electronic scoreing too but it is mounted on the side. I might consider other means of decorating the table in WILD decore if the "ice" turns out to be undoable. :?

I'm sure you'll figure out something, either that or wire up some electrical do-whacky so that when ever you score on the other player, he gets a shock. Seems like you are good at creating electrical fun stuff
