Default tire question

Yup, bout that time. My first set on the Bonneville, so I'm looking for something good. I'm right now looking at a set of Cooper Lifeliner SLE (T Rated) tires. They have a 70K mile treadwear warranty. Has anyone ever used these b4? I have the ratings on quietness and handling and whatnot, and it'* about what I'm looking for, but are they a dependable tire? My dad has Cooper Cobras on his truck, and they do pretty good, these should do about the same, no?

EGAD!!! Not another tire thread!!! I've got a set of goodyears on the front wheels right now. They're Goodyear knockoffs that actually run really well, real quiet. AND they have a 60k mile warranty, with free balance and rotating for the life of the tire

I've had Cooper-made tires on both the '91 and my mom'* Altima.

Shittiest. Tires. Ever. Not sure how they are compared to these, however. All I know - I'm never going Cooper ever again. Poor wet grip, not so good dry grip, and bad treadwear like a ****. My mom drives nice and easy and the tires are worn in about 25-30,000km... less than 20,000 miles.

Yeah, don't let those commercials fool you just because they have Jane'* Addiction in the background, their tires stink on ice. Goodyear FTW.

I put Bridgestone Potenza G009'* on my '95 in February. Great dry, wet, and snow traction, and quiet.

You guys for sure get rain though. I can spin Altima tires (205/60R15) with about 1/3 throttle.

Mine are some cheapo-off brand and spin like crazy on a wet road. The torque-steer makes for a helluva ride.

Keep in mind that my mom'* Altima is only a 2.4L four with 150hp/155lb-ft (lots of torque down low due to the fact that this was a truck motor) - and the stock tire size is 195/65R15 as opposed to the 205/60R15 that'* on it now

A lot of cheapo off-brand tires are made by Cooper. As is the case with myself.
