UGGGH! SNOW!
This pic was taken @ 4:00am October 24th in Barrie just after I drove home from work and put the car in the garage. Them AZZ-holes were putting Salt on the roads already!! (Time to take her in for the yearly oiling!)

Damn Rob...snow in Barrie already???
Great white north makes me laugh, MN is geographically furthur north the southern Ontario As well as Maine, some upstate NY too....
We usually get the first snow in the Toronto area by mid December...gets awful cold though

Actually on top of a hill, 1636 ft MSL but the airport is surrounded by mountainous terrain and a tower about 5 so. of the airport that rises to 2564 ft MSL.

I used to live in Colorado with elev. no less than 3,000 ft. near Utah. When I was flying here, we went up to 10,000 and I could see quite a ways. There are no hills or anything around here. It'* just a gradual climb to 3600 ft. from here toward Colo. Just a point of interest...didn't mean to hijack yet another thread...

I have flown out in Colo. Nice part of the country. We get lousy weather in the winter and it is Canadas fault. Continental air masses intruding from Canada predominate in winter and generate a west to east storm track.
