Default cell phone... wierdest thing.

Over the last two weeks my RAZR V3C has started doing something very strange. During about 10% of calls, no one on the other end of the phone can understand me. They've all said it just sounds like a duck quacking on the other end of the phone. Bad thing is that I have no idea when it'* doing it other than people always saying "what." Today I called discount tire to ask about an order placed and the guy thought I was making a prank call!! If I hang up and call back, the 'quacking' stops. No, it'* not me doing it. hah. Any ideas on this one? The phone is now 2 years old.

Never had that problem, but with the past two v3ms, just before they got ready to start acting stupid, I would make phone calls and nobody could hear me on speakerphone OR through the regular mic. I don't know what was going on.

First v3m lagged HORRIBLY, like more than normal. Then eventually the speaker crackled so bad you couldn't understand anything unless you had it turned down the whole way.

Second one had the same problem but slightly less severe from day one, PLUS it was a refurb since it was replaced under warranty. The hinges were so loose you could move the flip part back and forth about an eighth of an inch. That wasn't a valid enough reason for them to take it back, so I waited until it got worse. Eventually it started locking up and requiring me to pull the battery. Then one day it decided to just start displaying two clocks with two different times on the outer LCD, flipped imaged, or going through my contacts list randomly on the outer LCD.

This third one has been OK, just the normal lag that the verizon v3ms come with. I will never buy another razr again with the verizon gui loaded on it. They're so slow. I send/recieve ~1300 txts/month. Sometimes only like 700, but still that'* a lot, and that'* how all of my friends away at college and I communicate. GF txts me about all day too. I hate how long it takes to send a txt msg with this phone compared to my older LG. ONLY props I have for the v3m razr is the amazing camera phone quality.

I really haven't had any problems until the other night. I went to make a call, and I couldn't hear out of the ear piece, and the other people couldn't hear me. Then it froze up, and I had to remove the battery, and then put it back in. It was fine after that.

Mine is only 2 months old

razrs are notoriously bad as far as reliability goes... take it into the shop and see what they have to say. i would just get it replaced.

I should have added that the phone indeed HAS been locking up continually. Often times I'll get an incoming call and when I flip open the phone to answer it, the phone locks up, and the screen turns complete static, like what a TV looks like with no signal, only it'* colorful. I have to take out the battery to reset the phone. It'* been shutting off about once every three days lately.
