The new $10 note is also quite attractive. (released 2 weeks ago along with the $5 note)
Source Bank Of Canada:

The Canadian train - represents Canada’* great engineering feat of linking its eastern and western frontiers by what was, at the time, the longest railway ever built (Portrait: Sir John A. Macdonald)
Just as a side note Canada has also discontinued the penny, one cent coins.
We now round off everything, so pennies are no longer required !!
My pockets are lighter now of pennies but heavier with Loonies and Toonies LOL.

"The EURion constellation is a pattern of symbols incorporated into a number of banknote designs worldwide since about 1996. It is added to help imaging software detect the presence of a banknote in a digital image. Such software can then block the user from reproducing banknotes to prevent counterfeiting using colour photocopiers. However, recent research shows that the EURion constellation may just be one of many factors used to detect currency, and is not necessarily required."

Don't care much for the polymer. Use it a lot in Eastern Europe.
The bills slip and slide together, several denominations are different sizes, which aggravates me to no end. Smaller bills are lost in pocket stashes of larger bills (and by larger I mean you have to have LARGE hands to maintain a grip on the width of the bills in order to count them. Then a smaller bill will slide out and the wind takes it down the sidewalk).
Could simply be a problem when you're dealing with bills of different lengths and widths. That said, it'* such a relief to get back to the U.*. and fold paper money together of one length and width.
Always wondered...is this weird size output done for the benefit of blind people? Strange, regardless.
