I mean it was like one of the cleanest black 03s I've ever seen and this guy went backyard redneck on it

i have seen SO many 00+* around here with tape on the windows, but this guy takes the cake, there was tape ALL OVER IT.

You'll never see me do this.

Why?

Because I will never put my rear windows down.

EVER.

And because I just wouldn't use duct tape on any car of mine.

I think NOT using the rear windows may lead to this failure....just speculation though

Well if they never go down, I won't have to worry about them NOT going up.

I've put them down and up once to see if they worked. They have not been down since.

i was talking to a guy with a 2000 se and his motor went in the passenger rear. But the stupid pulley for it (it looked like a pulley) was made of plastic and the threads in it where all warped. If this piece was made of metal it prolly wouldn't break so often.

My theory is also is if you roll them up, then barely tap the switch to roll them down but still keep them sealed they may last longer...I'd think this would relieve some stress on the regulator.

I go easy on my front driver window when letting it down and up too. I don't use the auto feature to drop it all the way on its own. If I do it hits hard. It definitely stresses out the regulators. I slowly move it down, and not all the way. I have some very evident scratches on the window too so something'* screwy inside the door.

I think we all pray every time a rear window gets used in our cars
