Why do old cars suck?
Well i was out last night driving a chick home, and i took a shortcut through the harding high school parking lot (if anyone in MN knows east st.paul). She warned me of speed bumps, so i took my time and slowed wayyy down. One.. good. Two... good. Three's the charm, BAM i hear a crunch and the wheel rips to the right. I hit the brakes immediately and get out, only to find my wheel 90* perpendicular to the fender. Long story short the lower ball joint snapped. I knew this was coming for a while because the car always had a weird veering problem when you went around a right turn and an odd clunk that we could never pinpoint. Oh if i forgot to mention it's my 1986 Mazda 626 5-speed. Just turned 211,000 miles. Luckily we were only a block away from her house. So anyways a $90 dollar tow and a $35 dollar ball joint later and she'll be good as new. Now to fix the leaky gas tank...

old cars suck at times - I've been there..
My dad's in the garage right now as I type this, performing surgery on the SSE... fuel pump! |
I think I'm gonna be next in line for a fuel pump job.
