Default MTV'* ICON

Did anyone see the Mtv'* Icon show. Metallica was the Icon and it was awesome. I didn't get to see all of it but from what I saw was good. I didn't like Avril Lavrine doing Fuel, a woman'* voice doesn't have that James Hetfield tone to it and raspy. They played a little bit of new stuff and it was mind blowing. Man I love Metallica.

Korn'* version of "One" was awesome!! Limp Bizkit did a pretty good "Sanitarium"...You're right about Avril Lavigne...not enough angst although her band sounded pretty good. Snoop Dogg'* version of Enter Sandman was just plain terrible.

Jim Brewer'* little skit was kinda funny also...If you're happy and you know it clap your hands!

They have so many great songs...I wish there were more performances by other bands.

Unfortunetly the people I know that have Satelitte to get MTV don't have VCR'* only DVD'* ( VCR?? Whats that? Were they like the old rotory microwave ***** that went out a long time ago? hahaha ) So I"m stuck now. However.. I think I can probably find the song on Kazaa pretty soon when people have it on their computer.. then burn a CD of songs from it.

I've got all their albums including Binge and Purge.. whole crap load of thier stuff except for the And Justice for All Stage set

How I missed them... What'* the deal with Jason Newstead? Is he back with Metallica? Thought he left?

Yeah Jason is gone, they got Ozzy Osbourne'* bass player when he was on tour. I forget his name but it'* Metallica'* new bassist. And yes they are going to go on tour again, it has been 2 years since they have. Being a bassist myself I love playing Metallica.
