Default another computer question

will it hurt the fan connectors on the motherboard to run more than one fan off of one connector? such as using a y-adapter to run 2 fans off one connector?

I have never tried that before. I don't know how much voltage is coming off of that MB connector. I'd be weary of it. You might overdraw power from it with 2 fans.

No more need for two flint stones and straw!! YAY!!

I agree. The mb is touchy on currents. 3.3v consistenly usually (for one built for that, 5.5v for others) I wouldn't screw with that.

hmmmmm, well i guess i wont be doing that then....see i have 5 fans in the computer im building, and my power supply only has 4 standard connectors, which makes no sense to me, especially since its a 450 watt one...but i guess ill manage some way, i also found an adapter that turns one standard connector into 2 standard connectors, so i guess i could go that route, my motherboard is supposed to have 3 fan connectors on it, so that will handle the CPU fan, and possibly 2 others, of course i also have 2 CD drives, a hard drive, and LEDs to wory about powering
