When did they fix the upper intake problem in bonnevilles?
I thought I heard somewhere they fixed that problem latter on would this 99 bonnie be worth bidding on?????

No. It was not improved for the 99 model year. My 99 was not improved, however, didn't fail (changed it as preventative maintenance). However, two other people on this board had their 99 uppers fail -> 57chevythunder and I'm not sure of the other member's name.

Perhaps the seller starting "fresh" to clear themselves of any previous scandal, ie, russianpolarbear's cousin's Jetta. |
They fixed it? As far as I know they never fixed anything and they're still denying that there is even a problem. I think any Series II is vulnerable.
