GM cars almost immune to damage on 'Hawaii Five-O'
My name is Human and I'm a Netflix addict.
Lately, I 've been bingeing out on the new 'Hawaii Five-O' and I've made an interesting observation about their use of cars. As you may be aware, GM provides vehicles for the show, but aside from an occasional marked HPD Impala police cruiser that gets shot up, no GM cars are ever damaged on the show (at least not on season 1). If they 're going to crash a car or blow it up, it'* usually a Chrysler product (they seem particularly fond of Dodge Intrepids) or occasionally a Ford. They did blow up a BMW 3-series in the final episode of season 1, but I'm almost positive it was done with CGI.
I'd never noticed that pattern watching it one episode at a time, but having watched over 20 episodes in the past week, it became fairly apparent.
