Can anyone tell me of some companies and what their rates are for intra/interstate? Do you use these companies and if so, how do you like them?

I'll tell you what we do. Sam'* club sells long distance phone cards that are like 3 or 3.5 cents per minute. Or maybe it'* 2.5. But it'* through ATT. If you don't mind punching numbers and know someone with a membership there, it'* a great deal.

I'm sorry, this is for my home phone. I have nationwide coverage on my cellphone (and over 4000 rollover minutes) but don't get reception in the house. I don't use alot of long distance but don't wan't to have to pay higher fees for the coverage.

vonage is internet based. who is your current landline provider and do you have any choices. It might seem like a dumb question, but some people don't have a choice of who their landline provider is. Qwest for example has a flat rate plan of $20. if you have them for local, they knock of $5.

I get my internet access through peoplepc.

I could go unlimited long distance for $29 per month but I am trying to cut back on expenses. Right now I have it through BellSouth - $5.95 per month which includes 60 minutes long distance and then its like 5 to 8 cents a minute after that.

I don't know how that will work out for me. I had the unlimited but like I said - I am trying to lower expenses. Any call I make that is out of my town is long distance. I don't make a lot of calls but I want to be able to make them when I want to but not get robbed doing so.

That'* my plan. Just program your calling card 800 number into one speed dial and the PIN into another one

If you have a SAMS AT&T card, when the advertisement comes on just press the pound key and it will skip right through it.
