What kind of stuff did you end up getting? Based on the price point, I'm going to guess you didn't go with i7 stuff.

HAHA no... been an solid AMD supporter so im sticking with my guns... a friend got all new i7 stuff for about 2 grand for a complete unit... his brother spent 750 for AMD and got better benchmarks and higher FPS on WOW... so im sticking with AMD.
Ordering *in 2 weeks* the 3.1Ghz Athlon XII dual (most on a asus board when overclocked unlock the other 2 cores so my fingers will be crossed... if not its still a BADA$$ cpu), a ASUS AM3 mobo with all the goodies including SLI setup for my twin 9800 GTs, and 2 (2x2gb) 1800mhz DR3 ram sticks... nothing major just gotta 1 up my single 2.4ghz dual core on a foxconn board with 3gb'* ddr ram.... old but solid and great marks... but i wanna stomp my friend comp into the ground... will be at a solid 1100 total for the tower with the upgrade... and its actually 350 with shipping :P just breaks 300 before so ya.... yay in 2 weeks.... stupid car payments lol

NICE... what that set you back??? itll beat mine im sure but ill only be OCd to a 3.5 (seen it pushed to 3.9-4.1) cuz more is overkill ona dual much less a quad... and youll have 2gbs of ram over me.... but even currently i played on max settings and on a 38" wide screen tv/monitor thru hdmi at 1368x768 res... so with the upgrade ill be perfectly happy lol

i would like an i7 but im kind of a poor kid so i have to piece it all together point by point and until my mobo crashed i was still putting if off... but i just payed for another 2 months of wow and hate playing on my crappy laptop lol

o and i averaged 30 fps on wow at max settings with my older stuff... so i cant wait to see what it hits

Well considering it was a whole machine build, it was around $2,200 I think. But I had to buy everything to make a computer work. Oh yeah, that'* on an air cooler too.

Gear grinder for now: construction. I swear to God these people plan the worst times to do construction. They KNOW the south-bound lane is full of traffic of people going to work, and the north-bound lane is practically empty. So which side do you think they work on? The south-bound lane. When do they wait to work on the north-bound lane? In the afternoon when it'* full of people going home from work.
