Default What to get a 21 and 16 y/o for their birthday'*

Have a 21 year old and 16 year old and their b-days are both this month. I think they are too old for presents, but my wife thinks very different. Both are part of the entitlement generation, which I hate to admit because I am partly at fault. They do very little unless told to do it.

Anyways- decided to give them emergency repair kits for their future cars (they don't have cars now because they are not working). Thought it was a better choice than clothes and video games/ electronics.

I thanks a great idea! Plus it will give them something to look forwards too and work towards.

They may not appreciate it at first, but will think VERY differently on a cold rainy night when they are broke down on the side of the road. Suddenly, it'* the best gift they ever got.

I've got a jumper pack that I use all the time. Built in light, air compressor, and inverter for portable power. Don't need it as much now that I have 2 batteries and an air compressor built into the trunk but it could really be a lifesaver, especially in this weather.
