Default I just may be trading in the bonne...

On this: http://www.cadealerdirect.com/webtem...spx?iid=186706
2001 Firebird
L36
T-Tops
5-Speed
85k Miles
Grey Cloth Interior

It'* about a mile from me, I'm going there monday to check it out before I go into work.
I've been looking for one like this for a few years now, it'* hard to find an L36 firebird with both a 5-speed and T-Tops.(On that note, if someone knows of another one in norcal for cheaper, let me know)

Best part of this is: $8995 is the price. KBB is $11,025.

:?
That price doesn't seem right to me... I've seen two 5-speed V6s for under 7 grand, one of which was a '01. Anyways, nice find, those are getting harder to come by.

(I just thought of something, those two I've seen were both Camaros... might have something to do with the price increase, but I couldn't imagine THAT big of a bump)

Newer camaro resale value is usually about $1000 less than a firebird if optioned the same. The camaros also may have had more miles, no t-tops, no power seats, base wheels, etc. I've only found one other V6 5-speed with T-Tops (firebird, I don't like the newer camaros), and that was about 10k with 78k Mi.

I went to look at it today, and the dealer offered me $500 for trade in on the bonne... But, I found another firebird... White, 5 Speed, T-Tops, L36 as well, and a lower price with only 48k miles. Problem: 20" rims and window tint. Ugh.

If those rims were 17s or 18s even, they would look much better on that car.

Whatever you do, dont trade your car in, youll get screwed no matter what. Just keep your car and sell it privately, youll end up making more for it in the long run.

Even if you get the one with the 20s, you can sell them and get some nice 17s or something like that and probably still pocket a little cash, then drive the Bonneville while the 'Bird is up on blocks.

Those rims are just ugly. Even if they were good rims, they don't belong on that car.

I absolutely refuse to trade in the bonne for less than the KBB trade in value on it, and if it really came down to trading it in for that little, I'd sell it to someone here for the same amount. Considering trade in on the bonne is $2970, it'll be a cold day in hell before I get that firebird... I'm going to go look at the white one with the fugly rims tomorrow after school, and see how low I can get them without the rims. Come to think of it, anyone know if our bolt pattern and tire diameter is the same as the F-body? Someone I go to school with has a 92 SSE, and is looking for bigger rims, I wouldn't mind swapping for his aeros (for the time being)
