Don't use the SSEi version of windshield. Tell them to use the SE version.
I had that happen to me a few years ago when I replaced the one in my 95 Bonneville. Insurance told me not to ask how much more expensive it is for the SSEi glass.
The reason the HUD is important is my dash lights don't work. During the day, not an issue. At night I used the HUD to monitor my speed.
I am hoping I have a ground issue, find it hard to believe all my dash lights have failed, along with climate control and radio lights. The fuse is good, so if it ever warms up (below freezing again this morning) I am going to get under the dash and start looking for a broken ground.
replaced the compressor in the impy, then vac'd it out and charged it. removed the gauges and the high side valve is stuck partially open. there goes $50 in freon.
on a side note, somehow the dust cap holds the pressure. pulled the fuse and leaving the dust cap on. hopefully itll stay partially pressurized till friday when i get paid. i really dont want to replace the dryer 2 times in a week.
Well the other day the wife said her Caddy popped up on the display to service stability system and the brake light came on. Then It went out. I took her car to work and hooked it up to the techII and the EBTCM had a low brake fluid code. I pop the hood and sure enough she was low. I started looking through the wheels and I'll be damned if the RR didn't have a little coating of brake fluid. The next day I tried to find a caliper locally and of coarse nobody had one. I whent ahead and pulled the wheel and it looked dry at the piston. I popped the little dust cap off the bleader and fluid trickled out. I grabbed my 10mm and sure enough I got like a 1/8 of a turn out of it. Never seen a bleeder back off before! At least it only cost me a few ounces of brake fluid.
I like to get out early on the weekends (6:00-7:00 AM) and glide around town in my LeSabre while drinking hot coffee and listening to old demos of my previous bands on my CD player. Did all my grocery shopping. Stopped at the Race Trac for a large coffee and a few gallons of fuel. Kmart looking for a Craftsman tool (didn't have). Home to drop off groceries, then to Sears at the mall for same Craftsman tool (didn't have). Got an automotive single wire electrical probe and some 1/4" shank screwdriver bits for my new ratchet set instead. Back to Race Trac for more coffee. Drove around until I'd heard all the songs on my CD (3 times) then home to work on my car.
Pulled the back seat cushion to check a fuse and battery/cables condition. Left my gloves and vise Grips under the cushion when I reinstalled it - it was a whole day before I missed them, then I remembered. Pulled the driver'* door lock switch to test for power. Loaded the trunk with 15 gallons of water in platic jugs to see how the rear end would feel while driving.. About the same.
Just ordered 4" Rancho lift kit for my Sierra, at 4WO|Suspension Lift Kit. This kit is expensive like the CST but I heard that it will give a high clearance on the crossmember and good flat cv angles.
This is what I have been up to lately. I have restored this old garden tractor. The deck still needs some work, but it runs, and drive, and actually looks pretty nice now.
