What did you do with your car/truck or shop today?
Battery cable wriggled loose and left my poor wife stranded in the parking lot at work. I had to talk her through opening the hood of the car.
Poor kid... It'* her birthday too!

I got really, really mad at my car. It was throwing trans codes every 5 minutes, which put the car into limp mode, so I got hptuners out and disabled every single trans code that there was, flashed it, and its not limping anymore...yet. Security light did come on though for the first time...

i feel you pain... i have an Allison haha
Yeah, I cannot find absolutely any real benefit to having the shifts electronically controlled as opposed to having them vacuum controlled. So many fewer things to break, and it still works perfectly well. There was no need to change all that.
I hate the 4T65E with such a passion right now. I cannot wait to get that 5 speed in there. Quick, simple, efficient, light, and reliable. No electronic crap, no thousand different clutches, input pistons, bands, etc, no potential for trans cooler line leaks, no trans codes, no solenoids, no bullshit, just clutch, shift, engage, go baby go.

Did nothing with/to mine today. but a friend came by in his 98 Gran Prix with a new headlight bulb and a puzzled look. After I took the passenger side brace, windshield washer resovouir, and battery out to replace it,.... he still had a puzzled look and replied,"there has to be an easier way". I told him ya, find a very tall 4 year old kid who can twist his skinny little limb in there and do it.

Good choice. My 94 Dodge has never had to go to the Dealer, given me 160k miles and counting, and the only things replaced are the injector pump and sending unit. Be forewarned though. That year range will not do well without continuous addition of fuel lubricant. I learned the hard way.
