Me too!. I feel my 57 years today. Took the truck up in the woods with the new spring hangers and shackle and cut down enough lethargic maples and cherrys to fill the bed up with logs..... Winter is comin.

I felt all of that and more yesterday. I way over did the fighting Saturday. Practicing a new ending for our war. It involves a very hard core one on one glave battle between myself and another guy. I hurt all over and spent most of my day doing nothing.

Doing that now. Come morning it'* coffee, aspirin, and do it again. Piling it up gives me incentive as it gets bigger and bigger. I usually amass 10 full cords before I borrow a friends 35 ton splitter for a couple days.

I've found I feel about 30 on the weekends, and fight 20 year olds and beat them all day long. Come Monday, I no longer feel 30, I feel a bit closer to 90. A lot of moaning and groaning. Takes me a few days to recover and do it all over again.

I bought a PCV valve for my car today and installed it in about a minute. It seems like it idles a bit smoother now. Still getting that tune up sometime in the next week..who knows what will be involved with that.

you will burn that this winter? just interested most people say they let wood lay out for a year before they use it. usually i cut and split during the late winter early spring and that wont be used till the winter after next

It wont be used till next year. I am always a year ahead of myself. And always late in getting it in. But a must do. Late winter/early spring for me is Maple tapping season and my boat and bike fill most of the summer. School starting and the crisp mornings like today reset my leisurely summer pace. Hard long winters have gotten me into "green" wood, It will burn but a pain to keep going.
