i am trying to help my friend figure out whats wrong with his car..

he has a misfire but is not sure whats causing it..

i have a obd1 scanner for my 88 sse and i was wondering if it would fit his car or if not is there anyway to jump the pins like our cars and get the codes out.? thanks..

and i will be going to his house at 8:00 pm tonite. so anyhelp by them would be greatly appericated...
