Yes, the 4 wheel drive still works.

I may have to test HOW WELL it works before I give it back

Beautiful interior huh?. Actually the interior is in almost perfect shape.

The best part is, the thing only has 112,000 miles.

Holy clean! That is in DAMN good shape. Hopefully it'* at least a I-6, right? If not, good luck getting that 4 cylinder to even move in the mud, my dad'* neighbor owned a 4-cyl with the 4x4, he said it got stuck even in 1/4" mud.

I think '82 was the year they started using the 258 in all the Eagle models. I always wanted an */X 4, but now I'll be happy to take ANY Eagle, a Spirit, or even a Gremlin. My first car was a Concord wagon (looks just like that Eagle, but was all white, and only 2 wheel drive). Most reliable car I ever owned.

To tell you the truth, I have no idea what motor it has. I had it a garage that other day when I got rid of the Bonnie and the guy that was admiring it thought it was a 258.
It is in unbelievable shape. My friend said it was owned by an 86 yr old mail man who bought it brand new. Must have been garage kept because the body is almost perfect.
Now, if I can just get the gas gauge to work. I ran out of gas 3 times now.
Every time you open the gas cap (which is behind the plate..nice!) a big gush of air comes rushing out. I am assuming there is an air bubble that is messing up the gauge.
