Default Something I've wondered about for a long time (Perf ?)

The SRX barely puts out more power and weighs 300 pounds more then the SXT, they are both AWD but the SRX is convincingly faster.

Why?

I've always wondered how a car with similar stats or in some cases should be the slower car can stomp on another car and this is a great example.

look at the axle ratios.. the large difference in axle ratios would account for about .5 sec in a 1/4 mile

I asked about ratios in this topic

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=37757

So the difference is good for a full second despite the 300 pound difference? Well duh cause the results say so I suppose

probably not for the whole second but a good chunk of it.. there are many other variables involved aswell.. track / weather conditions, driver, etc.. also if those are the lowest observed times or averages, etc. they could have been driven on 2 different days by 2 different drivers. if the dodge was a hot humid day and the cadillac was a cooler, drier day that could also explain atleast .5 sec 1/4mile
