ugh, wake me up from this nightmare please.

well i owned the mercury for less than a month and 2 hours ago i totaled it on I-290 with it rolling 106k on the clock. i was drivin the uh what do ya call it when the regular hwy splits for a mile or so so the other cars can exit. well i was drivin there minding my business when a truck cuts off a car while merging, the car was a 99 honda accord btw. so anyways when the truck cut her off she swerved into my lane right in front of me, and i was going faster than her so when she swerved right in front of me i slammed the brakes and the horn but it was too late the abs gave up after like 2 pulses and the wheels locked i ripped into her drivers side, and slammed into the median at a good 50-60mph, causing my car to jump into the air a good foot or two, end up in front of her and she slams into my rear. her car is in pieces and mine isnt as bad but i believe the trans case broke or something and the rack is broken too along with the rims, so it spit out a lake of trans fluid etc etc etc...

sigh gotta call the insurance company in the morning.

and to top it off i had just gotten a ticket earlier in the night for doin 83 in a 55, it just isnt my night. i need a drink.

DANG........

Sounds like you're alright but, wassup with all of the club members losing their rides???? Makes me want to stay home and protect mine.

I guess it's time to get back into a Bonne and ride in style ;)

Glad to hear you are ok.

Amazing how you can start off behind her and end up in front of her. Was anyone cited for causing the accident. I would assume you are not at fault and would be covered by the other drivers insurance.

Dbeast...yes..too many members in accidents lately..at least they are all ok.

dang, well, um... at least it wasnt the bonneville?

but i am sorry to hear that, losing another ford and all :(

WOW! That IS a nightmare!

I hope everything works out OK. Did the truck that cut off the Honda stop (not likely), or is he long gone? He's the real culprit in this one.

Dang, that just stinks...

I am glad to hear that you're alive guy. I'm really thanking whatever higher power has been looking over BC members lately since we're all alive and able to keep typing, et cetera.

they are looking for excuses to get rid of their ford's and get bonnies....they don't want their other ford friends to make fun of that to much......
