French Fries
Heard this morning:
A poll of 9-14 year-old kids shows that 33% have no idea where french fries come from (what they are made of).
Top guesses:
1 - Oil
2 - Salt
3 - Flour
Also, a poll of parents with toddlers showed that over 80% said the number one vegetable they feed their toddlers is french fries.
(Probably a repost with my current luck posting in Lounge, lol)

FUN FACT -
In France, the just call them fried potatoes (pommes de frites)
Oil and salt are not bad guesses, really. They are 50% correct.

I guess I thought it pretty telling that parents raise their kids on french fries. I'm not even sure that it counts as a vegetable on the food pyramid.
On another note, a full 40% of the same children had no idea where milk came from.
