My roommate and I did this today. This is the first time I have ever put up lights at my own house. I am pretty impressed. It sticks out like a sore thumb since we are the first in the neighborhood to get them up.

exactly, except the cold is already here. I was wearing a winter coat, gloves and stocking hat the entire time putting them up. It was in the 40'* today. With all those angles and such it would be impossible if we get any snow.

We are so energy conscience these days and its amazing to me that this is still done.
